I have a long history with souls games but always struggling to finish them at first and then loving them and finishing twice.

Demon Souls I basicly screwed up my build with extreme investment into luck, not knowing that there are like 1 or 2 weapons that scale with it and that it does not lead to insane crits. After 25 hours I think I quit after finishing halfway the game. It just got too difficult (also had black tendecy and did not get the system at all and accidently activated the guy who kills npc's.

After half a year I rebooted it and finished it thrice with some minor help from the guide you get with the black phantom edition.

Dark Souls I also bounced off hard after arriving at andor londo. For some reason for me the game actually was at its best in the first 3-4 area's and after that reached the point where I disliked most of it.

Came back to the game a year later and finished it completely including DLC on PC. Bought DLC on PS3 and finished it again.

Dark souls 2 I also had a half year break at some point due to my ps3 dying and having to redo 3/4th of the game. Finished it without any dlc and stuck somewhere on the first dlc on PS4 now.

Bloodborne: 0 issues loved it and finished it after a couple of months with 0 breaks. Struggled hard with the DLC due to being on new-game plus and barely having done any chalice dungeons. Actually someone from the forum here helped me kill some optional boss in the DLC.

Dark souls 3: Finished it quickly relatively with some minor break, disliked a lot of area's in the game and absolutely hated the second DLC. To this day I can't understand people loving the second DLC with its shit mechanics, bad waypoints and unfair gameplay.

Sekiro: Finished it after 1 1/2 week with no guide except for the monkeys and loving and hating the game at the same time. Base PS4 framerate issues were severely undermining my enjoyment of the game at times. Final boss remains my favourite boss encounter of any game I played.
