I've experienced so many crashes since the new patch, it's crazy. Seems to have a memory leak a mile wide that will eventually make the game crash if you sit in a space station too long. Ended up with a corrupt save last night due to it crashing and lost my custom button mappings due to that. Hope they get that fixed. Yesterday morning I bought a Chieftan from a station controlled by Felicia Winters that was only two jumps from home, Rhea, and it's a great wee ship. Love the wide-open cockpit glass but, even with A-rated thrusters, it isn't quite as nimble as my Asp X. I can see it being better for combat with the military modules installed, though, but before I risk that I've gone back to my Asp X & Python. Really enjoying the variety that comes with having a choice of ship, actually. The Python is a solid workhorse and the Asp X is obviously better for long range, riskier missions. I've now maxed out my reputation with most factions in the Rhea area without really conjuring up the Navy missions I hoped to get to improve my ranking. Anybody know of somewhere not too far away (100 LY or so) from Rhea where Federal Navy missions might drop more frequently? |
