Congrats on Elite! Don't forget you've now got access to Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra, where all ships, weapons and modules are available for a reduced cost. As for the Asp Ex, reduced weight is the way to go. Not only will it save on fuel in regions with unscoopable stars, you'll want that jump range if you're planning on traveling towards any of the outer edges of the galaxy (including above and below the galactic plane), as stars become much more spread out in those regions. You can't land on Earth yet, sadly. Planets with thick atmospheres are still off limits in Odyssey, so no Earth landings there, either.
