Speculation over at reddit is that the Burn is Burnham related as is everything else that happens in this universe. Possible related to when the Red Angel suit travelled back to signal Spock and then self destructed. The suit was for her mother, so possibly a half-destroyed name tag with her name was found, naming the event. Depressingly predictable if it turns out to be true.
