Posted this in the TV thread as I didn't realise this existed! Just moved house and bought a new tele (a Sony xh9005 to be precise). The previous owner has a home cinema type set up with several ceiling speakers (3 in front 2 behind) and behind the TV there's a box with each speaker labelled (front right, front centre etc) and a pair of banana sockets (at least I think that's what they're called from Google!) . I have no idea what kind of speakers are in the ceiling but am quite keen to take advantage of them. Someone kindly mentioned that I should try and put them into a dolby atmos set up and try to find a dolby atmos amplifier to output from my TV and then plug to the appropriate banana sockets. Does that sound about right? And anyone have any recommendations? |
