I think that is the main factor in more dangerous moves these days. The fear of actually dying if you had a crash has almost completely been erased. Drivers wouldn't have even thought about a move that could make contact in that fast a corner. 1980s and earlier Verstappen would be dead, quite possibly even 90s too.
