You lot are arguing over whether the scale of the punishment should be judged on the action that created the incident or the ultimate result of the incident. A proper stop-go penalty would have produced a fairer result, stopping Hamilton winning the race but if penalties are based on the ultimate result I think David Coulthard would still be serving a complete ban for the 13 car pile up at the start of the 1998 Spa GP. |
