Got a similar virus this morning, I started getting pop-ups from something calling itself XP Anti Spyware. Cut of all access to programs so couldn't do anything and safe mode didn't help.

Did some research on another PC and used Malwarebytes to get rid of it. Had to change the file name and file extension from .exe to .bat for it to install and run. Got rid of it in the end but spyware S&D detected stuff that was left behind in the reg file system which has now been cleaned out.
