I purchased my DSLR from Digitalrev late last year and had no problems with import tax. My brother-in-law wasn't quite as lucky when he bought his. So he sent an e-mail to Digitalrev and I can't remember if they refunded him the tax or if he sent them the details and they paid it; either way, they took care of it.

Re. the warranty, IIRC I think they have their own worldwide warranty.
