    If you're going to be shooting landscapes then yes, they'll be a big help. I'd suggest you pick up one of the grad kits which'll give you 1,2 and 3 stop filters - the holder will allow you to stack up to three grads usually. You'll need to get an adapter ring that fits your lens as well for the holder to slot onto.

    If you're using a wide angle lens then you'll probably be better off getting 100mm filters rather than the P series 85mm ones. You can still use the 85mm ones but you will get vignetting at the wider angles.

    Hitech are slightly better optical quality than cokin & around the same price. Both will fit the cokin holder.
