    Aren't snipers more useful in attack? They can take out defenders manning fixed position weapons and in lookout towers etc. Also, in terms of the weapon's range, the attacking sniper can keep defenders out of range of their weapons because the defenders must stay around the gold/flag and the attacking sniper can find a position to keep defenders at long range. When defending, the sniper will have to deal with approaching attackers reducing the range so the attackers weapons become effective - a snipers nightmare. The defending sniper hasn't got the freedom to move as much as the attacking sniper because he must defend the gold/flag.
