The BNP have the right to waste their money on leafleting the same as anyone else. As I hope anyone who has read my posts already knows, I disagree with the BNP and its policies but I also up hold the right of freedom of speech for everyone, even those I completely disagree with.

The Post Office may well be within their rights to refuse to accept any organisations business (although this may not be true in the case of politics - same as political broadcasts - parties have certain rights with regard to this sort of thing - and having now read the article APHIZM points to, it would appear this is the case).

Do you not think though, that if they did refuse to distribute the BNP's leaflets, that would in fact help the BNP? Imagine the publicity that the BNP would make out of the refusal of the Post Office to deliver their leaflets.

The best thing you could do with that leaflet IMO would be to shred it and forget about it. Anything else just gives them more time in the media spotlight, as the article APHIZM points to proves.

I can understand the postal workers' points-of-view, but unfortunately their refusal to deliver the leaflets appears to be doing more good for the BNP's cause than harm.

Would it be acceptable for a Labour supporting postal worker to refuse to distribute a Conservative or Lib Dem leaflet? The same is true of the BNP.
