OK then , answer this one truthfully . If any member of your family , or a close friend , voted for either the BNP or UKIP, would you dis-own them?. Would the mention of their very names send shivers of repulsion down your spine?.

As other people have said, it would depend on their reasons for voting.

If you are asking me if I would have a problem with a friend or family member being a racist, the simple answer is yes.

If you're asking me if I have a problem with them voting for a party who's policies I disagree with, then no I wouldn't. They have a right to express themselves as does everyone else.

If they were voting for the BNP for racist reasons, then yes I would have a problem with that because it would be an indication of them being racist.

Davethedave , you said " How is it undemocratic ? : we are expressing our opinions ". That is my point exactly. Your'e expressing your opinions , and so are the BNP and UKIP !
So apart from your perceptions about these parties , where is the difference?.

I am not trying to be obtuse, but I don't understand your question. I have never said the BNP or UKIP don't have a right to express their views. As I've said before, everyone has the right to free speech, despite how offensive other people may find that free speech to be. So I don't understand what you're saying there.
