    I think the idea of the choke points is that the attacking team has to flank and mess with the enemy. It also encourages operatives to go and do some harassment. However, I see your point and the choke points really do make the game VERY difficult for attackers, the worst one I can think of is the start of container city. Unless the attacking team really pushes forward (I'm talking going over the wall and taking the fight to the defender's side of the first gate that needs blown), you're screwed. Both points of entry from the spawn are in the same corner of an open courtyard, you cannot get out if the defenders make it to said courtyard.
