@RyanDS Well that's a bit of a stonking trip right there... Awesome.

Would be great if you have someone to do and enjoy it with. But if you like your own company then Solo is doable. But it's a long way to go just on your own, always nice to have someone to enjoy a coffee break with and to watch your back. Without being to morbid there are some tight, lonely roads with lots of valleys/ravines in which you might not be found unless someone was looking for you. Just saying. :)

Like you seem to have done, we plan a high level route and then go deeper and pre book hotels at milestones along the route (As an example, we try and keep mileage to around 200m a day. With couple of breaks for coffee and a Lunch break). We try to avoid larger towns if we can, just because (sometimes you don't have an option). And we use Booking.com for our hotel bookings. Really quick and easy, and you can stipulate parking requirements, so we almost always have our bikes garaged or in free underground parking. When you are travelling that far, I don't want to worry that my bike wont be there in the morning. :)
Whilst handy AirBnB wouldn't fill me with confidence tbh.

    But yeah. Awesome route.
Ardennes, Vosges, Black Forest, Alps, Pyrenees... Top stuff...
