I checked the Office licence in cmd prompt and it looks like it's a volume licence, kms client ae edition. It's reporting an error that the owner should verify the use rights and there's a grace period of 177 days before expiring.

I don't know how these licences work. Is this sort of thing legit, does it periodically check in with a server to extend the expiry or is it some sort of hooky shenanigans?.

edit: It's been removed, I've done a "Remove everything" Windows reset.
