I fretted over this when I bought my card recently. Most of the reviews I read around the web suggested that unless you are gaming at a higher resolution than 1080p then you are unlikely to notice any improvement in performance with the extra 1GB.

I decided to save myself the Ł20 and spend it on games instead!
