    Hi there.
My 60GB PS3 went faulty a few months ago, and Sony were worse than useless!
I ended up getting a brand new PS3. I have a UK, japanese and a US account, and I just logged back in again (as existing user) and all my main account info was there.

I couldn't remember what email address I had used for the US one, but after a trawl through all my various email accounts I found the info in my Hotmail account.

I'm sure (on the PS3) there is an option to re-send your account info to your email address, but if you don't know the sign-in email address.......?

From what I've read elsewhere on the web about this very same problem, the account info is stored in the hardware or ram, not on the hard drive.

This must be correct, because I replaced my 80GB hard drive with a 250GB drive and, after formatting, all my account info, video and audio settings etc was all still there!

    Wish I could help more.
