Was having a teams call with someone about a work issue earlier and invariably a lull in conversation led to the weather, which led to the fact the pacific northwest is currently on fire. The conversation ended something like;

Them: "Still, it'd be nice to have a bit of that over here"
Me: "I mean....people ARE dying...they don't have the infastructure for it and neither do we"
Them: "I guess, but still a bit of sunshine can't hurt"

So yeah, I think the British brain may just be fundamentally broken when it comes to 'sunny weather'
