Just so this isn't a total Ubi-spank, EA's $10 project is doing the same thing for PC games (or so it would seem).

EA's DLC auth servers went down for a bit recently (and I'm not sure what this means for offline play but I suspect it is the same). Dragon Age PC stopped working for anyone with a legal new copy. Or at least the important load game feature broke.

Y'see, you have to auth your DLC (included in the box with a code) with the EA servers if you want to load a game (that was saved in a game that had DLC enabled, and evryone who scratched the code and used it will be by default), but when the servers are down you can't do that. So you can't load your game. Genius.

Can't be right. I was playing DA for ages last month when I was waiting for my broadband to be activated.
