I've just popped my smartphone cherry with a Galaxy S6. Initial impressions aren't so good, as I love my crappy little Nokia's with a keypad. I'm just wondering what people think is the safest type of case, a wallet type thing or a bumper? I don't see how a bumper can be all that safe, as they look like they just protect the back, not the screen as well. This thing is already slightly bigger than I'd like, so I'm a bit worried a book-type case will make it even more cumbersome.

Also, do people bother with insurance? How shit are these smart phones with regards to software crashes/bricking?
