    If you look at the seven points mentioned in this article, it's apparent that things like say Linux, which typically suffers from a good bit of fanboyism, meets most of those criteria. I find it hard to imagine that that came about anything other than by accident for it specifically, and I'm sure it's the same for a lot of products. They just fit the bill for attracting nutters.

    I just become angered to think of some Marketing Exec twonk sitting round trying to very deliberately work out how to turn the human disposition for religious zealotry into a tool for selling consumer electronics.
