Lots to enjoy in last night's ep, but it also repeated a lot of jokes from the first series (Ruth disagreeing with everything Alan says, Simon not being able to work his tech interface). Hopefully this was just refreshing everyone's memory for the new series and they start evolving the ideas further as they go on. I get the feeling that Jenny getting engaged might be the status change that shifts how the new series is going to work. Alan's always more interesting when he's being sidelined by an enemy. |
