    This basically means that either my ps3 goes back to life long enough for me to do the Ethernet transfer, or I'll loose my locked saves for good.
    This is frankly unacceptable, as backups - by definition - are meant to be a way for preserving personal data from events such as hardware failure. If officially confirmed, sony has just lost a lot of reputation from the viewpoint of a very unhappy customer.
    Anyhow, I'll try search for the other thread you mentioned. Thanks a lot for the reply.
