kalís on a particularly vitriolic anti-Liverpool rant at the moment, so I guess he approves of the summer signings at Anfield?|
I donít see the situation with spending being too far removed from 2013. Spurs sold Bale for £90m, then spent around £120m on replacements - Soldado for £26m, Lamela for £30m, Capoue for £8m, Chiriches for £8.5m, Paulinho for £17m, Chadli for £6m, and Eriksen for £11.5m. Some of those signings paid off, whilst others didnít. AVB didnít last long after the scattergun spending didnít pay off, and Iím sure the same will apply to Klopp, but he does appear to have a more focussed transfer policy, and the fees are ridiculous largely due to the stupid inflation of prices over the last couple of seasons.
I hope weíll finish above Spurs, but who knows? Happy with the transfer activity this summer, and that things have been done fairly early. I suspect Allison cost as much as he did due to Chelsea waiting in the wings. Football, bloody hell
