It’s the shittest idea in a long line of shit ideas, but I’m not exactly sympathetic to the Premier League administration. Comment on the Guardian livestream about the Super League: “A lot of the bodies suddenly opposed to the rampant commercialism of it all actually helped it to happen and have been merrily benefitting from it; their problem now is that they’ve been cut out.” On a more selfish note, as a (somewhat lapsed) Man Utd fan the PL (and the press and the government) did fuck all to stop the Glazers taking over, they just saw the money.
