As I understand it, Agnelli was pushing for the CL reforms that came in (leaving aside the fact that nothing aside from handing Juve, I dunno, €500m for no reason every season would ever be enough). There’s a theory that the SL nonsense was just a massive bluff to distract attention from the shitty new CL format. It was mentioned a few pages back.

And now that the SL appears dead in the water? Hey, the new CL doesn’t seem as awful as what we could have ended up with, right guys?

EDIT: I say all of that and now every chairman has fucked off. Christ knows...
