@Decks I'm not sure the owners care about their reputations to that extent (as a Man Utd supporter, I know the Glazers certainly don't give a flying fuck what the supporters think), just their bank balances.

I dunno, maybe they genuinely had no idea how poorly their Bond villain masterplan would be received at this particular point in time, and it just really spiralled out of control.

As it stands, they're all (assuming the current Super League idea dies) still in the Champions League, which is now massively favourable to them. Or will be in a couple of seasons.
