    The trouble is you have to stick with them and give them serious game time if they are actually going to develop. You'd better be pretty sure that they're going to make it otherwise it's a big risk.

    The turnover of managers at Chelsea doesn't help. Young players go hot and cold so you're gonna have pretty big periods where their not playing that great. It's short term weakening the team to improve the team with a (hopefully) world class player in the long term. New managers coming in are just going to play the best team they have, especially since at Chelsea they know they aren't going to be given a whole lot of leeway.
