Well jealous. Tried to get on the postgraduate course for 'teaching in the lifelong learning sector' after I finished Uni, but although the interview went well I was informed History is a 'dead subject' and thus was no point pitting me on the course.

I currently work in admin at a local college and they let me take a PTLLS teaching course, however I was refused my final microteach on the grounds that My subject doesn't cover the marking criteria.

I'm a full time worker, mortgaged up etc etc, and I genuinely want to be a history teacher - but I have no idea how to progress now. Am I best to give up and pursue another career? I'm 30 soon, and getting angry at being on the bottom of the ladder.
