    It was something to do with the ratings system. I think you could get an S if you got a certain time. This involved going back and puzzling out the best routes in the level - sometimes this meant avoiding the things that deformed terrain, the choice of truck was also vital so you had a lot of trial and error. it was really rewarding when you got the right combo and got an S. It also meant constantly doing stunts which was a lot of fun. The game just played great and I still keep coming back to it, would love a Wii U sequel.
