    I don't want to sound like a broken record. But...
    You'll need a charger for those. That'll be another 10~ plus it's another thing that'll need a socket to plug into!
    If we are talking specifically about Videogame Controllers. You might as well just grab a 2nd Controller with an internal battery and have one plugged into the console all the time. Simply swap them when ones dead. Rinse and repeat.
    When the console is on it's charging.

    Can you not see that as being perhaps a little more elegant?
