@Tomo B550 are ready for zen 3 but may need a BIOS update (which will be available now). If you have a zen 2 CPU you can give update the BIOS easily enough. If not, some boards have a USB flash function to do it without a CPU. I still feel a bit dirty about doing this, but I got a Very credit account and bought the MSI Tomohawk X570 mobo for £215 and used a code for £50 off (which they give for taking out the credit but you can just pay off the balance instantly). That board has reviewed really well and hasn't dropped in price ever. I've seen the MSI X570 gaming carbon WiFi for £170 a few places I think too. I thought better to get a decent 570x for not much more than a B550, which aren't that much cheaper for a decent one. |
