Got myself a little stuck on the Earthen Peak boss last night. I didn't realise you could drain the poison though by setting light to the windmill by the second bonfire (thanks Moot!). I've got to somehow get my souls out of the boss arena now which is not going to be easy.

Either way, I think I may be a little under levelled (currently level 79). Problem is I tried Sinners Rise briefly and struggled with that too. Although I only gave it a couple of goes.

I may have to hang around Lost Bastille and Harvest Peak and do some summons for souls so I can level up.
I just did that area (and boss) around level 90 without much issue. Fire ladies took off a ton of health if they ever hit but once you get to a certain bonfire they are all next to poison pots anyway and you can make them kill themselves.

Really enjoyed the boss fight. Fell to her once when learning her attacks. Found it best to go in with a low equipment load, keep distance and then just roll into the attacks. Once the opportunity was open I was at least taking 5% off with each strike (Bastard Sword + 5). She threw the head at me, I circled around and managed to get a good few two handed hits in before she recovered. All timing my friend. With the exception of the head attacks and when she sucks face all other attacks can be blocked with a 100% physical damage shield (I think).
