It's the only pair of headphones I hate. Don't get me wrong, they're not bad cans, in fact a lot of people like them and I have a pair of DT880 Pro which I use for every day listening.

But when I was starting out as a newbie sound engineer in my second week my mentor had to take a day off so I wound up doing a location recording solo. And he had left his DT770s in the cart so I used them for monitoring. Biiiiiig mistake. The mix came out tinny, literally no bass because I'd compensated for the low bump of the cans. Learnt that lesson the hard way and only used my own cans after that. Never touched another pair of DT770 since then.
