it's like the west asking muslims to publicly condemn the actions of extremists. or making the entire feminism movement responsible for the actions and ideas of radical feminists. it's just an indirect way of engagement and i don't think it has an end-point, and only further alienates the people who MIGHT engage with you.
Sigh... How many times have we been through this point now? It's still as bullshit as it was the first time.

Difference being is last I checked neither Islam nor feminism started by an attempt to ruin a woman's life, nor were they a thin smoke screen for a /pol/ pushback against progressive voices.

Extremists came to Islam, radicals came to feminism. GamerGate was built upon hatred from the start - moderates came to them.

Isn't the end result the same and thus moot? An uncontrolled hive swarm with both nutters and normals?
