As Graxlar said, there's no reason to grind at the point you're at. The post-ARR patches (all the way up to Heavensward) will hand out gear reasonably regularly (up to i110, from memory), and Heavensward itself will also hand out regularly (a pattern repeated for each expansion). I actually think it's fine to continue progressing, largely ignore tomestone gear (unless you're approaching cap of 2000 and want to spend it on something for another class or for glamour). Tomestones of Poetics are considered the "catch up" currency. It won't buy you any gear above level 70. When new epxansion are released, the gear from the previous one are moved to Poetics. Edit: If you've equipped the gear and fought a battle whilst wearing it, it will have "bound" to you. It will not be able to be sold on the market board if that is the case, though you should still be able to chuck them at an npc shop for a little bit of gil. Binding will be listed at the top of the item card if this has happened. Bound equipment will gain spiritbond. At the pace you're going, you're unlikely to max out the Spiritbond stat on gear, which indicates Materia can be extracted form the item. This process can be taught with a quick unlock quest out by the Bonfire in Central Thanalan. But if you do max the spiritbond to 100, then you can get materia from the item (which will drop the % back to 1). Materia may be worth a bit more, depending on the state of your world's market board. Edited by The12thMonkey at 11:23:06 13-07-2021 |
