I think the size of new builds varies depending on where their bring built. New ones near me are fairly big, decent parking for two cars. There are also way too small house types which I guess are for the buy to let market. The quality does vary. Especially on schemes which are big as emphasis seems to be on speed and quality control becomes non existent. Existing houses pre 1980 all have their faults too but I guess you expect them too. The minimum standards have their plus points though. I live in a terraced 10 year old house and I can't hear the neighbours unlike past Victorian houses |
