I'll try the Axe. Bit longer range on that too. i've levelled that up to +5, so should be strong enough. Just a bit of a hassle to move the blood gems around if I want full effect.

How much of an extra effect did the fire paper give? I only have 2, so - this is a general problems with the game for me - I'm a little reluctant to use it.
