I've become very hooked on watching John Darko's channel on YouTube, and he's a massive fan of the Chord Mojo portable DAC. In theory, you should be able to run it as part of a normal hifi set-up, so I was wondering if anyone on here was doing that?

My system is mostly mid-range vintage gear, and I mostly listen to vinyl, but do listen to streaming stuff (low res) for convenience via my iphone or laptop. A lot of people say that the Mojo is as good as much more expensive DACs, so I was thinking this could be a cheap way to improve the digital stuff I do play?
I don’t have any experience with the Mojo, but your set up sounds similar to mine. I use a dedicated Arcam DAC to stream to and it’s a nice improvement over wired line in directly to my amp.
To be honest though, I think DACs come into their own when you connect to the source with USB and listen to hi res lossless audio FLACs or CDs or master quality Tidal streams etc. Streaming lo res audio to one might not be a great improvement.
