@drakesmoke - Hitting 'Source Direct' just removes the treble & bass controls from the signal path, which does mean your amp is more directly reproducing the music - but that doesn't mean you are getting a flat response. There's lots of stuff inside an amp that influences the output, from the power supply to the choice of capacitors etc. That's why different brands have a 'signature' sound that can be warm, clinical, revealing, etc etc. |
