It's a tough one for the UK as I am aware that a lot of people are concerned about releasing possibly dangerous animals back into the wild, such as bears and wolves and I understand those concerns...
But living her in Florida for a year with Black Bears, Alligators, Bob Cats, Panthers, Venomous Snakes and Spiders and many more Bitey creatures, it's just a way of life.
I kayak and oUT on the water I am aware that there is an element of danger from Alligators, snakes ect, but it's very unlikely and I take care with my actions and keep aware of my surroundings.
Of course from time to time someone will get injured/killed and I w as talking to a Ranger at the weekend who was attacked by a Black Bear. He said as it was attacking he had the chance to shoot and kill it but didn't as HE was in the bears environment and all wildlife should be protected.
I beleve an occasional injury to a person is worth the risk for a varied and vibrant environment full of incredible animals.
Although I had a fright on Saturday when moving a bush from the back yard to the front aND a foot long Red, Yellow and Black striped snake fell onto my wrist...
We have the Coral Snake here but luckily this was just a harmless Corn Snake that mimics it's colors...
Still new pants were needed and I now use cloves...
