Here's a question, mainly for the Metal Gear Solid fans out there. I was about to play Peace Walker before going onto Ground Zeros, before going onto Phantom Pain. I realized that Portable Ops should actually come first, not having a PSP I decided to watch the 2 hour video on youtube that shows all the cutscenes. I didn't expect it to have so many big story points, if I'm honest.

So my question then, is it worth me playing Portable Ops before Peace Walker? Will it make it and easier transition for me to the new style of gameplay that awaits? It's got great reviews and I suppose I can torrent it (I'm not investing in a PSP for one game)...but I have already watched all the cutscenes. Can I live my life as an MGS fan and not play it?
