eFootball PES 2020 (Xbox One - Game Pass) Ridiculous name. But great game of football (mainly play online). Perhaps I'm getting old, but I find this more enjoyable to play than FIFA's white knuckle, frenetic pinball. The pitch is big and expansive. You can actually put your foot on the ball and play a patient build up game - feels satisfying to unlock a tight defence. Or you can knock it long and try and play fast on the counter. Gameplay is more varied and versatile that way. Only real negative is some slight online button lag that impacts the game's responsiveness a bit. Sort that out Konami ffs. But I guess I'm willing to live with that for a football game that feels more like actual football. |
