Plague Tale - Innocence Totally missed this when it launched (awful name didn't help) and now picked it up via gamepass. Unusual mix, great setting and graphics are decent to impressive for the most part. Also the casual interaction between the lead characters and bespoke animations that kick in, remind me of the output of Naughty Dog... Surprising more because I'd not heard or seen anything of the game before trying it. But all that good stuff is packed full of the most clunky cliche stealth based gameplay you've seen, especially in the first hour. Deaf enemies with 15 degree vision cones and 5 second memories with thick grass to hide in for good measure. It does seem to be getting more interesting as I go on though. |
