AC Valhalla Strange game this, it's proper janky, the combat is pretty bad, there's glitches galore and it just generally feels extremely unpolished. Still despite that, I'm quite enjoying it. It's good fun getting about, the various methods of travel help to break things up and the random encouters are surprisngly funny. I'd been playing Ghost of Tsushima again before starting Valhalla and I think it's the better game in lots of ways, it's far more polished for a start and the combat feels a lot more refined. It does however get very repetitve very quickly, it's like the game has shown it's hand after 10 hours and then stretches that out for the rest of the game. I'm interested to see what they've done with the expansion. I'm only about 15 hours into Valhalla so I could feel differently later on but it think it's the better open world game. However, they really need to sort the combat out for the next one though and spend some more time polishing things up before release. |
