New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009) Currently, this is my favourite game on the Nintendo Wii. It looks amazing without having to have ultra-detail graphics and it's amazing fun to play that does require skill to do but is incredibly easy to pick up. It's a proper old school game that I got to enjoy with my children and has put a LITTLE faith back into me for Nintendo. I didn't score it higher because despite me pretty much gushing over it, if I take a step back, the game didn't quite blow me away. Sure the gameplay was ace and solid as a rock but at times it could be a bit too simple. Plus my preferred gaming taste leans towards games that have a cracking storyline, which is almost completely absent from this game. I do realize I'm contradicting myself, "I love the old school gameplay and it doesn't need a story...but it's a bit simple and I like stories!" but what you gonna do? Cracking game and I shall be getting New Super Mario Bros. 2 for my "Daughter"  8/10 |
