Lunar Silver Star Complete (ps1) 8.5 Really great game with one of the best pacing and encounter rate of ps1 era rpgs. Likeable story and proper challenge as well. Combat does get a bit stale with so few attacks to choose. The first 5 bosses so come down to the main character buff use sword attack for any damage. Would love to see more jrpgs at around 30 hours without all the filler content of finding cats in trees and walking dogs. Sekiro Shadows die twice PS4: 9 Absolutely amazing game and maybe in the actual thread I am at times a bit too critical of the game but thats how I am when I want it to be perfect. I also feel that many ignore some of its issues out of love. During three boss fights I had severe input lag framerate issues that really hampered my progress. Generally in normal encounters it works great like other souls games. I just feel that it would benefit from 60 fps a lot when I want to try hard mode and new game +. I intend to rebuy it for pc further down the line. Some environments look a bit flat (fountainhead palace can look amazing at times and at others a bit drap). Spooky forest and village is one of the best from areas ever made and exlipses the fishing hamlet in bloodborne completely. Earlier stages are also a bit too difficult for most I guess and could be toned down a bit. I look forward to replaying it on pc on which I probably give it a 9.5. Heres hoping that the expansion or dlc lives up to the base game. |
