Persona 1 SEBEC and Snow queen quest(psp) I liked the first halve of the sebec campaign but abandoned the game for 4 years due to bad persona fusions screwing me over. I started it again a couple of months ago with a guide and managed to finish it at last. Afterwards I started the snow queen quest and god I hated it. Timed dungeons with permanent game over in a turn based jrpg is really not my idea of fun. The extensive grinding required and casino poker for spell cards also drove me insane.would only recommend it to a hardcore fan (6.5) and SQ(4). Persona 2 Innocent Sin (psp) Really short rpg at around 25 hours. Combat encounters are really broken and laughably easy untill the sudden difficulty spike at the last boss. I really liked the story and characters but overall felt that it is bit overated by old megami tensei fans (7). Persona 2 Eternal Punishment (ps1) The quality of life improvements are something painfully missing from the ps1 version. The battle and menu UI is horrendous and really slows things down in the first 10 hours. It does become second nature but really wished it were better. I loved the style of adult characters in particularly Baofu. In terms of story its both a improvement in terms of plot and lenght but lacking in meaningfull interactions between characters. Combat this time around is vastly improved and sidequest give meaningfull items. The rumour system has been simplified and feels less intrusive then innocent sin. Dungeon design is also improved. Overall really enjoyed it and definitely feels its the best of the older persona games (8). Edited by Rajin at 11:13:26 10-07-2019 |
