The Last of Us 2 A masterpiece. A new level in storytelling and characterisation. It makes you feel so strongly what the characters are going through and yet flips to make you understand different points of view and even hate what the characters are doing. The structure, jumping back and forwards in time allows for so much depth and meaning to be added to each characters behaviour too. Of course it looks jaw-droopingly incredible and is tense and rewarding to play. A couple of very minor niggles; there is the occasional clunky old-school boss fight and the enemy AI is quite dumb. These really don't take anything away from what is probably my game of the generation. 10/10 |
